The Naval Supply ( NAVSUP) Systems Command, Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville ( FLCJ), FL intends to issue a sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures to M&A Equipment Inc. DBA Quantum Machinery Group to procure and upgrade the current welding & fixture tables (3) located in the Steelworker Practical Application Lab. Current tables are out dated, and NCTC can no longer procure replacement parts or supporting equipment.

The Naval Construction Training Center (NCTC), Gulfport is a Naval shore activity in an active operating status. An Echelon V Command, NCTC's Commanding Officer reports to the Center for Seabees and Facilities Engineering (CSFE); the Naval Education and Training Command (NETC); and ultimately, to the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO), respectively. NCTC Gulfport is subject to the regional area coordination authority of the Commanding Officer, Naval Construction Battalion Center (NCBC).

NCTC Gulfport provides support to the CSFE Detachment Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas; and CSFE Detachment Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri as their responsible Training Systems Detachment (TSD).

The applicable North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) code that these items fall under is 333992, Welding and Soldering Equipment Manufacturing, with a size standard off 1,250 employees. This notice of intent is for information purposes only. All sources eligible to provide this requirement must respond in writing.

Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly articulate the ability to provide this requirement as outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered as an affirmative response. If no responses are received, within three ( 3 ) business days after publication of this notice, to the effect that comparable items are available, and that it is more advantageous to the Government than obtaining this product through a sole source contract, then a sole source acquisition award will be made.
