The purpose of this notice is to announce that the Tennessee Army National Guard (TNARNG) awarded an emergency acquisition sole source contract to Southern Tire Mart, LLC located at 800 Highway 98 BP, Columbia, MS. for the purpose of acquiring 38 trailer tires for M870A3 trailer within a short period of time. The Squadron ascheduled a convoy on 22 June 2023 and replacement of the tires is mission critical. At risk to mission, the unit wsa not be able to move their equipment which negatively impacted proper accountability of equipment as well as training requirements. Additionally, there was limited time to acquire tires since the Squadron would need several days to prepare and mount each tire and reach thier destination timely.. Southern Tire Mart, LLC is the only vendor that had 38 trailer tires available for purchase. Other vendors that were contacted needed several days or weeks to have these tires available.and time was of the essence.

The NAICS code for this acqusition is 326211 Tire Manufacturing (except retreading) , with a size standard of 1,500 number of employees. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition is based on mission critical urgency to the TNARNG.
