The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) intends to issue an award on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)) to Illumina, Inc, 5200 Illumina Way San Diego, CA 92122-4616 for the requirement of maintenance service contract for the Illumina MiSeq System Instrumentation. The tasks and deliverables for services shall include all labor, travel, and OEM parts, reagent replacement upon hardware failures, remote technical support, hardware and software updates, unlimited on-site hardware troubleshooting and repair, at least one preventive maintenance visit, software updates and notifications, and an on-site response time not greater than 2 days. All service shall be completed by an Illumina certified technician.

The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 811210. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same or similar service. All capability statements received by the closing date of this publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
