THE US ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS, ENGINEER RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CENTER (ERDC) has a requirement Quantity: 8 of each: – Heat pumps, 30GPM magnetic drive pumps, and Switch Flows 1”
Research greenhouses at ERDC provide temperature-controlled water baths for chemical control, biocontrol, and ecology studies of aquatic plants. Chillers/heaters at research greenhouses in both locations are failing due to age and are no longer sufficient to reach and maintain temperatures required for conducting these types of studies, or have failed and caused problems with ongoing studies resulting in experimental compromise. New chiller/heaters are needed to meet the needs of ongoing and expected upcoming research. The minimal needs for this equipment are heat exchangers to provide research grade stable and controlled water temperatures and dual state digital temperature controller in NEMA 4X-rated waterproof enclosure that will maintain water temperatures from 40-85ºF (5-29ºC). Heat pumps must include conduit flow switches for protection during power outages and self-priming pumps for water flow
