DESCRIPTION

THE US ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS, ENGINEER RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CENTER (ERDC) has a requirement to provide Nixene Journals Renewal in support of the ERDC Information Technology Laboratory Branch.

ERDC intends to issue a sole source firm fixed price contract to Stellar Modal Internmodal Transportation Association, 199 Bent Creek, Hattiesburg MS 39402, on a sole source basis utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures as outlined in FAR Part 13. The requirement is for one multiple physical site license for the following journal: Nixene Online Journal. This journal is used by ERDC Editing staff and Researchers to create scientific documents. The license is propriety to Nixen Journal and Stellarmodal is the licensed reseller/distributor for Nixene Publishing in the U.S and to the ERDC. The award will be issued in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b). The NAICS code for this requirement is 513120 with a size standard of 1,000 employees.

This notice of intent is for information purpose only. This is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. A solicitation will not be issued; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The information submitted must be provided in sufficient detail to demonstrate the vendor’s ability to fulfill requirements which are the same or similar to this requirement and references of each.

Information received will be considered solely for the determining wither to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement on a f full and open competition basis, based upon responses to the notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response the notice. Interested parties may submit any information for consideration by the Government to Ronalda.burton@usace.army.mil. Responses must be received no later that 2:00 p.m. CST on 16 January 2023.
