The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is for market research purposes only. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation.

The USDA/Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is conducting market research to support the USDA/ARS/SEA, Jamie Whitten Delta States Research Center (JWDSRC), Stoneville, MS location.

Seeking contractor to provide: All equipment, labor, parts, and materials necessary to provide Annual Maintenance, provided quarterly or as needed, for Stoneville, MS Reverse Osmosis System for NBCL Bldg. #80, Bldg. #2 Boiler Room, and Bldg. #2 Growth Chambers. Work to be performed in strict accordance with attached Statement of Work (SOW).

Provide for Bldg. #2 Boiler Room (System is RO/DI Polish complete from inlet to outlet):

• Services Quarterly or as needed


• Service includes DI tank exchange, RO pre-filter, salt for brine tank, performance check on RO and system.


• All service calls, consumables, labor for repairs needed to maintain system shall be covered.


• Provide Maintenance Results to USDA

Provide for Bldg. #2 Growth Chambers (System is RO/DI Polish), to lease and maintain the following:

• Services Quarterly or as needed


• (1) FRER02, reverse osmosis unit


• (1) 300C: 1.2 CF potable exchange carbon tank


• (1) 1 CF automatic water softener


• (1) 300-gallon storage tank


• (1) SS delivery pump


• (1) 85-gallon volume bladder tank


• (2) 300MB: 1.2 CF portable exchange mixed bed tanks


• (1) 20” post DI filter bowl with 5-micron filtration

• Provide Maintenance Results to USDA

Provide for Bldg. #80 NBCL (System is RO/DI Polish), to lease and maintain the following:

• Services Quarterly or as needed


• (1) FRER03, reverse osmosis unit


• (2) UVBB-1, 15 gpm UV lights


• (1) Myron-L quality monitor/controller


• (4) 12MB, 2.6 CF portable exchange mixed bed tanks


• (1) 14C, 3.6 CF portable exchange carbon tank

Responses should include:

• Business size. (Small business versus large business), other socio-economic categories such as Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUB-Zone), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), and Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB).


• Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number and CAGE code.


• Tailored capability statements addressing the salient characteristics listed, with appropriate documentation supporting capability.
